A love affair with sugar.
Since as long as I can remember, I’ve loved to bake.
I grew up in the suburbs outside of Seattle, Washington, skiing, hiking and mountain biking with my family in the Cascade Mountains. Sweet treats were always the perfect way to bribe my brother and I into one more ski run or a few extra miles on the trail. For as long as I remember, desserts have always been intertwined with the mountains.
Baking is my love language, whether it’s a friend's birthday, an impromptu dinner party, snacks along the trail or stocking the pantry for a loved one in a time of need.
Sharing food with community has been a core part of my husband Max and I’s relationship since we first moved to the Tetons. In 2020, we published our first cookbook, Beyond Skid: A Cookbook For Ski Bums, creative, easy and wallet-friendly meals for mountain town life. Our second book, Ski Snacks, is filled with portable snacks for the ski resort, skintrack and beyond.
After baking desserts for a few local friends’ weddings in Teton Valley, we knew a catering arm to our cookbook business was the natural next step.
Alpine Sweets was born out of a belief that sweet treats are best shared, and that there’s no better way to celebrate—whether it’s a wedding, birthday, baby shower, dinner party or day on skis—than with a tasty bite of your favorite dessert. Abundance mindset, always.
Whatever you’ve got cooking, I hope you’ll allow me to bring a little sweetness to your big day!
